This page is for you if…
Sound familiar?
You've always wanted to dance
You've watched people on the dance floor your whole life and thought "I wish I could do that." Now you have the time. Let's make it happen.
You're worried about keeping up
Group classes move at one pace — the class's pace. A private lesson moves at yours. If you need to slow down, I slow down. If you want to push, I push.
You don't have a partner
You don't need one. I teach you both roles — lead and follow — so you can dance with anyone, anywhere, anytime.
The differentiator
Why private lessons — not a group class
Group Dance Class
- ✕ 20–40 people, shown once
- ✕ One pace for everyone
- ✕ Instructor doesn't know your name
- ✕ You get lost, you fall behind
- ✕ Fixed schedule — show up or miss it
- ✕ No pricing transparency
Private Lesson with Noe
- Just you (and your guest if you want)
- Your pace. Always.
- I know your name, your goals, your music
- Real feedback, real progress, every session
- Evenings and weekends, booked around you
- $97 for 2 private one-hour classes
"I have taken many dance classes from Arthur Murray, Fred Astaire, and private lessons in San Francisco. I am so HAPPY to be dancing again with Noe. The classes have been both FUN and challenging. He is professional, encouraging, and supportive of my learning style."
Benefits
What you'll actually get out of this
Balance & Confidence on Your Feet
Dancing trains your body to move with intention. Better footwork, better balance, better spatial awareness. My students regularly tell me they feel steadier — not just on the dance floor but everywhere.
A Sharper Mind
Learning new patterns and responding to music engages your brain in ways most workouts don't. You're not just moving your body — you're building new neural pathways every lesson.
Something to Look Forward To
One of the most common things I hear from senior students is that their lesson is the highlight of their week. That's not a small thing.
Ready for Any Floor, Any Event
A cruise, a wedding, a holiday party — you'll know what to do when the music starts. That confidence carries over into everything.
Where to start
Dance styles popular with my senior students
Waltz
Elegant, slow, deeply satisfying to learn. Perfect starting point.
Foxtrot
Smooth and versatile. Works at almost any event with a live band.
Rumba
Slow, romantic Latin. Beautiful for couples or solo learners.
Cha-Cha
Fun, energetic, easy to feel the beat. Great first Latin dance.
East Coast Swing
Upbeat, social, and a blast at any occasion.
Country Two-Step
Perfect for weddings, country events, or just because you love the music.

"My boyfriend and I have been taking dance lessons from Noe for about 4 years, following him to his new studio because he is a great teacher and fun to work with."
Carol H.
Long-term Student · Latin
"Had my first formal Waltz instruction experience with Noe, and it was a very constructive, engaging, and foundation building experience. I've danced on many floors across the country and rarely have I walked out of instruction feeling like I had the tools needed to improve like I have from the lesson with Noe."

About
Who you'll be learning from
I'm Noe. I've been dancing professionally since 2010 and teaching in San Diego since 2016. I'm DVIDA and FADS trained, and I've worked with 500+ students — from total beginners to experienced dancers who wanted to finally do it right.
I don't run a studio of 30 instructors. It's just me. That means when you book a lesson, you're getting me — and I'll remember your name, your goals, and where you left off last time.
Most of my senior students come in nervous. Almost all of them leave their first lesson already dancing.
Text Noe DirectlyCommon Questions
Questions seniors ask me most
Straight answers — no fine print, no upsells. If your question isn't here, text me and I'll answer it personally.
Do I need a partner to take lessons?
No. All of my lessons are designed to work with solo students. I'll teach you how to lead, how to follow, and how to dance comfortably with anyone — so you're never stuck waiting for a partner to show up.
What if I have mobility limitations or joint issues?
Tell me before we start. I'll adjust the style, tempo, and footwork to what your body can do. Waltz and Foxtrot, for example, are smooth and low-impact — great starting points if your knees or hips are a concern. I work with what you've got.
Am I too old to start learning to dance?
The oldest student I've ever taught was in their 80s. The answer is no. What matters is that you want to learn — I'll handle the rest. Most people feel the progress within the first lesson.
What's the difference between your lessons and a group class?
In a group class, the instructor is managing 20–40 people and moving at the class's pace. In a private lesson, I move at your pace. You get real feedback, real corrections, and real progress every session. It's not comparable.
What dance style should I start with?
That depends on your goals and what music moves you. If you have a specific event coming up — a wedding, a cruise, an anniversary — I start there. If you just want to learn to dance socially, I'd start with Waltz or Foxtrot for ballroom, or Cha-Cha for Latin. Text me and I'll give you a specific recommendation.
How much do lessons cost?
The intro experience is $97 for two private one-hour classes — both within 5 days. That's $48.50 per class, compared to $100–$140 per class at most San Diego studios. Single lessons are $97/hr. Packages run $92–$85/lesson depending on volume.
Where are you located?
7243 Engineer Rd B, San Diego, CA 92111 — at Infinity Dance Sport Center, serving all San Diego neighborhoods including La Jolla, Clairemont, UTC, and Pacific Beach.
What should I wear to my first lesson?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in — slacks, a comfortable top, or anything you'd wear to a casual dinner. For shoes, smooth leather soles work best. Avoid rubber-soled sneakers — they grip the floor and can be hard on your knees during turns.
How long is each lesson, and how often should I come?
Each private lesson is one full hour. For most senior students, once or twice a week is the sweet spot — frequent enough to keep building muscle memory, but spaced enough to let your body recover and absorb what you've learned.
Can my spouse or a friend come with me?
Absolutely. The intro experience price covers up to 4 people in the room. Many of my senior students bring a spouse, a sibling, or a close friend — it's often more fun, and you'll have a built-in practice partner at home.
What if I've never danced before in my life?
Perfect — that's exactly who these lessons are built for. I start every brand-new student with posture, weight transfer, and one simple step. By the end of your first hour, you'll be moving to music. No prior experience helps, and none is needed.
Is parking easy at your studio?
Yes. The studio sits in a quiet business complex on Engineer Rd in Kearny Mesa with a free, well-lit lot right out front. The entrance is on the ground floor — no stairs, no elevators.
Ready to start?
Book your intro now and I'll figure out the right dance style, schedule, and starting point — together. No pressure. No commitment beyond these first two classes.
