Why is your experience $97 when other San Diego studios charge $100–$140 per lesson?

    Dance Experiences

Your $97 gets you 2 private one-hour classes — an effective rate of $48.50 per class, well below the $100–$140 most San Diego studios charge for a single private lesson. In exchange for the discounted rate, we ask for one honest review during the program and one after the program. That's the whole trade — no upsells, no catch.

Do both classes really have to be in the same week?

    Dance Experiences

Yes — both classes must be completed within 5 days of your first session. Same-week scheduling is what keeps the price low and is also what produces the fastest progress and best muscle memory. Text Noe a few times that work for you and we'll book both sessions together up front.

How much do dance lessons cost in San Diego?

    General

Most San Diego studios charge $100–$140 per single private lesson. At Level Up With Noe, the Dance Experience is $97 for 2 one-hour private classes ($48.50/class). Ongoing single lessons are $97, the 4-lesson package is $368 ($92/lesson), and the 8-lesson package is $680 ($85/lesson).

What's the best dance style for beginners?

    General

For beginners, I recommend finding a musical genre that speaks to you. Once you become a dancer you start to understand there are styles that fit the mood. There are dances meant to dance while you are sad, while you are happy, when you feel like taking things slow, and when you just want to get down and groove. There is a pace and an emotion for everyone.

Do I need a partner to take dance lessons?

    General

No partner needed! All our experiences and private lessons are designed for solo participants. You'll learn both lead and follow roles, building versatile skills that prepare you for any dance floor, wedding, or social event.

How long does it take to learn to dance?

    General

Most beginners feel comfortable on the dance floor after 4-6 lessons. After your 2-class Dance Experience, you'll know the basic steps. With consistent weekly lessons for 2-3 months, you'll have a solid foundation in multiple styles and feel confident dancing anywhere.

What dance styles can I learn in San Diego?

    General

At Level Up With Noe, you can learn 19+ dance styles including Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz (ballroom), Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Merengue (Latin), East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop (swing), and Cumbia.

What should I wear to a dance lesson?

    General

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and shoes with smooth soles. Avoid sneakers or rubber-soled shoes—leather or suede-soled shoes work best. For your first lesson, dress casually, bring water, and we recommend layers since you'll warm up!

Where are dance lessons held in San Diego?

    General

Our studio is located at 7243 Engineer Rd B, San Diego, CA 92111. We serve all of San Diego including La Jolla, Clairemont, UTC, Pacific Beach, Downtown, and more. The studio offers a welcoming, private space perfect for learning.

What is a Dance Experience and how does it work?

    Dance Experiences

A Dance Experience is a bundle of 2 private one-hour classes ($97 total, $48.50/class) that must both be completed within 5 days. Perfect for first-timers — you'll learn the fundamentals of your chosen style (Ballroom, Latin, Swing, etc.) in a semi-private setting with up to 4 guests.

Can I bring friends to a Dance Experience?

    Dance Experiences

Yes! Each Experience accommodates up to 2 couples (4 guests) at the same flat $97 price for the full 2-class bundle. It's a great way to share the fun with friends, family, or as a unique date night — everyone learns together across both sessions.

What's the best Dance Experience for a date night?

    Dance Experiences

All our experiences work great for date night! Latin (Salsa/Bachata) is romantic and energetic, Ballroom (Waltz/Foxtrot) is elegant and classic, and Swing is fun and playful. The Wedding Dance Experience is perfect for engaged couples — and at $48.50/class it's hard to beat for a memorable evening.

What's the difference between dance experiences and lesson packages?

    Lesson Packages

Each $97 Experience is 2 private one-hour classes (both within 5 days) — $48.50 per class — perfect for beginners exploring a style. Lesson packages are ongoing 1-hour private sessions for deeper learning, continued skill development, and mastering multiple dances.

    Do dance lesson packages expire?

    Lesson Packages

Yes—the 4-lesson package is valid for 2 months, and the 8-lesson package is valid for 2 months. This encourages consistent weekly practice, which leads to faster progress and better muscle memory retention.

Can I learn multiple dance styles with one package?

    Lesson Packages

Absolutely! Your package lessons can be used for any combination of our 19+ styles. Many students enjoy exploring multiple dances—once you learn one style, related dances become much easier to pick up.

How do I prepare for my wedding first dance?

    Lesson Packages

Start with our Wedding Dance Experience ($97) — 2 private one-hour first-dance classes (both within 5 days) where you'll explore styles, get song guidance, and learn the fundamentals. Couples who want more polish typically add private lessons from our standard packages afterward.
