Social Latin Club Experience — Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I dance Salsa and Bachata in San Diego after the experience?
San Diego has an active social Latin scene. Popular spots include Café Sevilla in the Gaslamp Quarter (Salsa & Bachata nights), The Office in North Park (occasional Latin nights), and various weekly socials hosted by local dance schools. We share a current venue list at the end of the experience.
Should I learn Salsa or Bachata first?
Most beginners find Bachata easier to start with — the basic step is a simple side-side pattern and the music is slower. Salsa has faster footwork and trickier timing (1-2-3-pause-5-6-7). We can focus on whichever you prefer in the experience.
What's the etiquette for asking someone to dance at a Latin social?
Latin socials are very welcoming — you walk up, make eye contact, smile, and ask 'Would you like to dance?' Saying yes is the cultural norm. We cover this etiquette plus how to politely decline, how to thank your partner, and how to navigate a busy floor.
Can singles attend the Social Latin Club Experience?
Definitely — most attendees come solo or with one friend. Latin social dancing is built around partner rotation, so going solo is completely normal and is actually how most people learn fastest.
Do I need any prior dance experience?
Not at all! Experiences are designed for absolute beginners. We'll start from the very basics and build your confidence step by step.
What should I wear to my experience?
Comfortable clothing you can move in and smooth-soled shoes. Avoid flip-flops, heels higher than 2 inches, or sticky rubber soles.
Can I book this as a gift?
Yes! Experiences make wonderful gifts. Just mention in the notes that it's a gift and we'll provide a gift certificate you can present beautifully.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens! We offer flexible rescheduling with at least 24 hours notice. Just reach out and we'll find a new time that works.
